Oh the Wonder of Wonder® Bread – Win a $100 Visa Gift Card!

This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Wonder®

*Update! And the winner is…. Deb of the highly acclaimed Deb on the Rocks! Congratulations, Deb!

Do we have any bread lovers in the houuuuuuuse?

Me? I am a HUGE fan of bread. So is my family. Bread is a great vehicle for so many things… peanut-butter, jelly, meats, butter (oh sweet butter…) and let’s not forget a nice little cinnamon-sugar combo when one toasts up a slice of BREAD. Mmmm… yum… cinnamon toast…

Wonder!

We went through a lion’s share of bread this summer. We headed to a local beach quite a bit, and in an effort to save a few extra bucks, we packed sandwiches instead of swinging through a place that would serve us prepared food through a window. IfyouknowwhatImean. I might even go so far as to say we could call Summer 2009 “Our Summer of Sandwiches”.

Day 3: Crystal Light Water Way Challenge

Day 3This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Crystal Light Water Way Challenge.

Day Three. I woke up to a parched throat and sucked down 16 ounces of water within my first 30 awake minutes. It seems the more hydrated I become, the more my body wants hydration.

Currently it is about 10 in the p.m. and I am sucking down the last 8 ounces of what will be 64 ounces for the day. In addition to a 16 ounce latte. And another.

Today I just went with 16 ounces of Crystal Light Peach Tea. I made a pitcher yesterday, and have handy access to it in the fridge. I might have gone for juice or soda without that pitcher in my fridge.

I had wanted to open up and try the straight lemonade, but was diverted when my 4 year old dove (DOVE!!!) off a barstool onto a sea of pillows and blankets, rolled over and an edge of the barstool hit her just above her right eye when it fell.

Blood.

And a 2 hour trip to urgent care. And glue to close the gash.

And this mom is tired. Urgent situations sure do drain a gal. I am just relieved she is absolutely fine. My t-shirt that got bloodied up may have fared the worst out of all this. That is fine with me ;)

Oh yeah… for a chance to win a $1000 Visa gift card click on this link and share your hydration tips!

Day 1: Crystal Light Water Way Challenge

Crystal Light Day 1This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Crystal Light Water Way Challenge.

Let the hydration begin!

Today I drank 56 oz of water… only 8 ounces short of the recommended 64! It is approximately 48 more ounces than I drank yesterday. I added Crystal Light’s Pomegranate Lemonade (Skin Essentials) to my first 16 ounces of the day. I actually added a couple extra ounces of water because I like a lighter flavor and sweetness. My adjustment lent to a delightful drink to sip on as I worked on my to-do list. Later on I made a pitcher of Crystal Light Peach Ice Tea *nomnomnom*, poured 16 ounces in my favorite re-usable water bottle and sipped it to it’s end while running the kids around town.

I Say, Bring On The Crystal Light Challenge!

This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Crystal Light Water Way Challenge

Alright. I guess I should probably get serious about this whole “water thing”. I know water is important. As a non-competitive (butt committed) exercize-ess, I know water (read: hydration) is a key component in my success in not passing out on those longer death marches runs. However, adequate hydration is not only good for folks who fancy running and such… In fact, I notice that when I drink enough water, the numbers on the scale are kinder numbers. I notice my complexion behaves better. My body just takes on the day better.
