There are 2 specific reasons why ALL 3 of my kids (ages 6, 9 and 11) were over-the-moon about their ARM & HAMMER® Spinbrush® MY WAY! ® line…
1 – SPINBRUSH
2 – STICKERS!
I wish I could say it’s because they are huge proponents of oral care, but they’re kids and they think using their own Spinbrush is the BOMB and with 3 kids who share a bathroom, being able to personalize their own toothbrush AND their own Orajel® MY WAY!™ Kids Toothpaste… it was just about the best thing they have ever seen. Well, besides an Easter basket from the Easter Bunny.
I’m not kidding. Look! A crafty, personalization morning full of creativity!
A neat feature about Spinbrush and the Orajel® MY WAY!™ Kids Toothpaste is kids get to express their creativity, aaaaaaand pride of ownership!
My experience with these products and my children’s oral care has been extremely positive. They are motivated because Spinbrush is just so stinkin’ cool, and they love the fact they have created their own look. I’m not lying here, each have asked, “Can I brush my teeth now?”
CAN I BRUSH MY TEETH NOW?
I about had a heart attack… a wonderful, glorious, heart attack caused by my kids being self-motivated.
And you know what? I love watching my kids’ creativity bloom. We are a “creative” family, not given to coloring in the lines. I encourage each child differently and according to their interests. My youngest is creative in play, my middle daughter is creative in the kitchen and writing, and my son is creative in verbal storytelling. I seek out different ways to encourage their exploration. Since each has such a different creative bent I am always being stretched in how to best help encourage them. My youngest has a good collection of dolls and “props” so she can “pretend” away. My middle gets time in the kitchen and has her own blog. My son, it just requires a lot of opportunities for him to share… which means LOTS of listening and feedback.

What a clever way to encourage kids to brush. I love it!
kids love to play with food. have them decorate (cup)cakes they’ll be eating.
have your kids decorate their dinner plate with veggies like celery and carrot sticks and bell pepper strips of various colors.
have your kids decorate their dinner plate with steamed veggies like celery and carrot sticks and bell pepper strips of various colors.
Music, art, crafts, gardening, cooking, theatre playtime, music, dance… there are creative opportunities every day if you keep your eyes and heart open
when my daughter was young we had craft time, I also made sure she had arts materials, music, etc. She ended up working in a creative field
I encourage them by Helping my son build forts for his toys. We cut out shapes from contraction paper and paste them on and decorate with crayons, markers, and colored pencils.
My little guy loves to paint. I remember the first time we gave him his own water colors. He started painting pretty pictures in his book, but by the end he was painting his tummy, arms and legs. It was so fun watching him as he was so proud of himself.
My little guy loves to sing! We are constantly singing at our house. I try to come up with silly songs about what we’re doing every day and he has started making up his own songs too. It’s so fun listening to what he comes up with.
I blogged:

I encourage creativity by making the kids turn off the tv/computer. The more time they have to be “bored” the more creative they are.
We need this–we go through a toothbrush a week around here!!!!!! How i don’t know–since I am forever saying, “did you remember to brush your teeth?” and they say, “no, I didn’t” and I say, “well go do it” and then they do…but that’s only when I remember–wouldn’t it be nice if they WANTED to remember????
I encourage creativity with my son at every turn. He especially loves to make things out of recycled materials, take things apart and turn them into art, paint, draw, you name it. I ran out to get him this toothbrush and toothpaste when I read the post and he loves brushing his teeth even more. What fun! It is a clever idea. Now if I could get my hands on one of my own.

My little girl would so love this. She’s very crafty and loves stickers, colored pencils, paint and beads.

The best way to encourage creativity is to get down and dirty with them! My kids will give most things a try if mom is willing to try too!

My little guy is still a bit young to understand being creative but I let him color, scribble, chalk, finger paints, whatever it may be and let him go to town. I ask him what it is he is drawing and every time no matter what it’s a giant
I encourage creativity by making time for it. I love doing arty and crafty activities. One summer we made soap, which we then gave to relatives at Christmas.

I use a battery powered toothbrush (as an adult). So far, I haven’t needed stickers to keep me motivated…

One of my favorite things to do with kids is to make a huge outside “house” out of cardboard and let them decorate it. I get out paints, then stickers, and ink pads and stamps, and later we might glue on feathers or beads—we go crazy.

My kids would so be all about this!!!
My boy is hands on so I keep him stocked with buckets of legos!

I encourage them to make gifts versus purchasing gifts and it means more to them and the recipient

I give them lots of art supplies and let them have free reign! They can come up with some of the neatest things out of paper, toilet paper rolls, etc.
I encourage creativity by allowing my son many different art tools and playing games he creates with him. The last was checkers that seemed like chess and involved gluing the pieces as we played!
Thanks!

i don’t have any kids but I think that this is an excellent concept for making brushing fun for kids!

my twin girls are 2 1/2 and LOVE to color/draw, I encourage them to draw different objects/animals/people without my help, we talk about what each thing looks like, how it’s shaped etc. They love it and I love to see their little buzzing brains at work.
My daughter Ava is 4 and just learning to brush her teeth herself. This would make it fun for her to learn.
Encouraging creativity in children will carry throughout various aspects of their life and benefit them!
We have a hard time getting my grandchildren to remember to brush their teeth. I really believe that these stickers could help because they both have a thing for any kind of sticker. I’d really like to win these for my grandchildren.
My girls are four and five. I gotta get them one of these.

I try to encourage creativity in the kids by allowing them to express themselves in a lot of different ways. I also try to get both the boy and girl involved in each activity, whether it is knitting, crocheting, role playing, etc. We usually have a lot of fun. Thanks!
Since I have been crocheting these past few months, my niece decided she wanted to start on her own scarf. There is always some kind of different craft going on in our household.

So cute! We like turning chores into games, and we like to do creative activities like making salt dough instead of buying playdough, it’s fun and much healthier to play with
I would help my son write his own books – he would draw and I would write down the story he dictated. Then I would bind them myself with staples, construction paper, and glue. He loved reading the stories he wrote!
i let my son choose how he wants his room decorated and since he likes to cook he gets to make something for dinner once a week. he usually chooses dessert! I guess it’s a good thing he has a spin brush!
We love to be creative and express it in various ways – art, music, pretend play, etc. We also do crafts all year long (macaroni art, homemade clay, etc.) but our favorite is homemade Christmas ornaments. We’ve done wreaths and candycanes out of pipe cleaners and beads, clothespin reindeers, snowmen out of pom-poms, and various other ones over the years.
Never thought about decorating toothbrushes though… interesting idea
To encourage creativity, I do many arts and crafts with my kids. Then I hang their work on the Fridge. This makes them feel really proud!

Clean out the fridge night…the combos of leftovers are interesting!!
