*Giveaway update – our winner is commenter #9 – Andrea!
UPDATE & WARNING:
*insert sad face here* When all was said and done… Scrapblog was unresponsive to prize fulfillment. Despite my positive experience designing a book, Scrapblog did not honor their agreement with MomSpark, me nor any of the several reviewers. Despite many attempts by MomSpark to redeem agreed-to prizes… no responses were ever made in return. Amy of MomSpark is sending each winner a $40 gift card in place of the original prize.
I write all of this so you will be warned… do NOT use ScrapBlog. I am hearing about issues from people who have paid, people who are not being responded to and not receiving their product.
This is all very unfortunate, and I hope you find this update helpful. And hope you know that all my reviews are honest and when things go side-ways… I will continue to be honest and informative.
And I am super-bummed. I was planning on making a book with all my kids, using the foundation from the book I already created. I want to thank my winner, Andrea, for her patience and understanding in all of this. I appreciate each person who takes time to enter, based on the offered prize.
I am a former scrapbooker. In fact, I was even a scrapbook “dealer” back in the day.
And do I have the “stash” to prove it.
Problem is… I have not tapped into that stash in years – yeeeeeears.
Why?
Because of time. Because of mess.
Do I miss it?
Yes. Not the mess, but creating. I miss creating.
ScrapBlog is an online medium to get one’s creative on, without making a mess of one’s kitchen table. It is a space one can create pages of memories for family, for self… A creative space to tell stories of relationships, or trips or events, or…
For the ScrapBlog book I created, I chose to focus on my daughters, with a hint of mom – The Girls. I have forgotten how much I really do love scrapbooking.
No, really. This is what I made…
The video is pretty fun, but I have to say holding my 20 page book IN my two hands is awesome. The quality is great. The glossy hard cover is the same quality as a hardcover book. This is my cover:
And inside are 20 pages of pure preciousness.
I found Scrapblog to be super-super easy to use. The hardest part was choosing the pictures! I chose a theme to give myself a design foundation. And then I added a few backgrounds and stickers to add some diversity to my package. There are paid options as well as lots and lots of free stickers and backgrounds to add! I was in option heaven!
Other cheer-worthy features include – the ability to crop pictures AND to edit further – make black and white, antique, even advanced features like fixing contrast… Uploading was easy. It took some time, but once loaded the pictures were easy to place and the site worked very well. I work with pictures online often, and I was concerned about slow loading. I did not experience any issues on Scrapblog.
From books to cards to calendars, there is a whole world of options at ScrapBlog. A PERFECT place to create a meaningful gift *Christmas much?* Furthermore… I also have online access to my precious creation! A link… as well as an embed code… Scrapblog covers all the bases – from online to in real life!
ScrapBlog is offering a holiday discount of 30% off hardcover books (limit 3). Additionally, they have a fun holiday challenge running!
Here’s THE BEST PART — I am tickled to be able to offer one person here a 20 page, 12×8 book of his/her own, including shipping.. a value of over $50! Simply leave a comment telling me how you think Scrablog might be a good fit for you! Contest begins 11/17 and ends midnight on 11/30/2010!

never done a digital scrapbook before…….scares me! but i would be less scared if i won the chance to make one……..with your help of course! Does the prize come with hand holding from you? =)
Never did scrapbooking but would like to try.
This would make a perfect Christmas gift for my newest in-law! She just got married, and is up to her elbows making scrapbooks for everyone except herself. I would love to be able to make a digital scrapbook for her and have it printed!
(Or maybe just make something fun for myself…)
Wow- love this idea. I love digital scrapbooking. I like the idea of making the slideshow but also having the book. I need to win this – no doubt about it, so I can get caught up on my photos! My poor kids need me to win this.
: )

Scrapblog would be great for me, because like you, I to have all of the stuff to scrap but lack the time!
WOW! This looks amazing! Honestly if I won I would create this for my husband who is stationed across the country from our family. We have a 4 year old and a 7 month old and this would be a wonderful christmas gift to send him @ Ft Bliss. He could look at smiling laughing pictures of our amazing kids when he can’t be here with them. I’d even let my oldest help create this for daddy!
fingers crossed!
I am a scrapper and have been creating for many years. I LOVE feeling creative and the end product, but like you have so many supplies and so little time. Would love to try out Scrapblog and see how it might fill my creative need while making some nice memories for the family.
I have scrapped since 1996, at least! And I still have TONS to archive or create into albums! I agree with Andrea…albums are heavy and take up a lot of room. But with 6 kids, three dogs and three grandkids there is always something new in my camera, which goes everywhere with me! So, the pics keep growing in numbers! Now that I store them on line until I need them, it would be fun to load them onto an online book which I could still have printed to hold in my hands!
Oh! My! What a terrific thing! I LOVE scrapbooking but cannot (CANNOT) deal with the 432 pound books afterwards! Where to store them? Where to put them? Kids can’t look through them because they weigh 432lbs and will be crushed beneath them. A beautifully bound, normal scrap-book-book–would be a dream! And how cute–all the options and none of the mess on my floor!!! ;o)
I have so many pictures on my computer even slide shots from the 1950′s..but not a great way to organize them or let others see them..this would help alot.
I’ve been looking for a good memory keeping solution like this for my newborn baby’s photos. Very cool!
As an end of summer celebration we went on a Cruiser Scavenger hunt with 3 other couples in our little city. Each couple had to do outrageous, generous, hysterical, romantic, thoughtful deeds as they worked their way across town. We took pictures of each accomplished feat. I promised them I would do “something” crafty with the pictures. I haven’t started yet. I think a quick, easy to use, Scrapblog book would be a great gift for them this year, and a great way to capture all the memorable antics. Thanks for the opportunity!
I think Scrapblog would be a good fit for me because a) I don’t scrapbook b) I have 8,000 digital pictures and c) I pretty much just want it! Thank you.
Scrapblog would be perfect for me because *gulp* Maddie is 4-1/2, and I don’t have ANY pictures of here in an album yet past the age of 6 months. (However I do have TONS in a shoebox and on my hard drive.)
Sam takes great pleasure in rubbing this in her face. Poor baby!
Oh I have so much scrapping to do. This sounds like something I would like to try. I have so many pics on the computer waiting for an audience. Starting the old way again sounds overwhelming but this sounds like a fuss free option. I hope I win. I will check this out.
I haven’t quite given up the scrapbooking… mostly because I have an entire room of my house dedicated to all things crafty (98% scrapbook stuff) and I too used to peddle the stuff.
ScrapBlog… looks like it might be the answer for all of those “events” that have a tendency to take up an entire album… groan… killing me!!!
Hi Jenny — the ScrapBlog looks fabulous! We just celebrated my Dad’s 80th birthday and all his girls flew in for the big event! My little sis got Dad a digital frame, and then spend the evening following the party loading photos from her camera memory card into the frame memory.. BORING… but the next day Dad had his framed photos cycling on his coffee table – SUPER!

I too admit to having a boatload of albums (okay, just one album for each of my numerous children and some special event albums). Recently scanned photos for a slide show too. But the idea of getting a ScrapBlog album makes me smile *flashes brilliant tin grin* and I <3 books that I can look at without power attachments
