Congratulations to JC – commenter #72! And thank you to everyone who particpated!
Ahhh. Summer. Most of my favorite childhood memories stem from summer. Times in the pool, sleeping in, fun on the slip-n-slide, riding my bike to play with friends… lemonade stands…
I hope my children look back on their summers with a similar fondness. We have not been able to vacation and jet about, but we have made some pretty great memories this summer.
Ranging from trips to the park, to a local beach, to a camping trip, to hopping in and out of our own pool… to throwing our own concert in the park! I’d say we have done a good job of taking advantage of our summer schedule.
AND… my 8 year old daughter finally got to have her lemonade stand. FINALLY. We set up a stand at the concert our family and a few friends coordinated. My daughter and her friends raised just over $50 that they will be taking to our local Human Society.

Our favorite moment of this summer was taking our boys rafting for the first time. we were able to go out with close family friends and really enjoy our day.
My favorite summer time was when Hubby and daughter went to Sturgis Motorcycle rally and I got to stay home all alone

The best part of my summer is all pool related… Fourth of July pool party and cookout with lots of relatives and lots of swimming the rest of the summer–relaxing and no pressure.
My favorite summer moment was being together will all 5 of my children and 11 grandchildren. This only happens 2 or 3 times a year.
The best part of this summer was watching my little miracle experience summer for the first time. He is 3 now and has missed every summer by being in the hospital. But this summer he got to swim and go to birthday parties and play outside. Truly my little miracle!
We went camping and for breakfeast we had poptarts, srambled eggs and bacon.
It was wonderful when my husband and I flew to Charleston for our son’s graduation and got to take him out to breakfast!
We love spending our summers at the beach. We didn’t do anything special, but it was nice to spend time together.
I didn’t have any memorable breakfast moments, really. But I had lots of memorable moments during our two week vacation on Cape Cod…loved watching the kids love the water!
In February, my 26yo daughter started staying with us (temporarily). She made a wonderful overnight breakfast casserole (eggs, bacon, cheese, milk, and french bread). It was much appreciated by the family, who, as much they enjoy the great variety of Kellogg’s breakfast products, greatly enjoyed the hot breakfast.
My kids are always funny with the things they say around the breakfast table. Definitely camping or our Tahoe vacation were the high points to our summer!
the higlight of my summer was taking my kids to the beach for the firs time- they loved the waves.

I can’t remember any memorable family breakfast moments from this summer, but a favorite moment from this summer is sharing Dublin Dr Pepper as a family. It’s made with sugar… NOT corn syrup.
i had a great time visiting the village fire station with my boys
My favorite summer memory was spending the 4th of July with my family at the beach. From sun up to after sun down, it was the greatest.
Thanks!

My favorite family moments mostly came on vacation this year. We went to Door County, Wisconsin for the first time and it was so fun to be together in a new place with my family. My favorite breakfast moment of the summer was meeting with my parents at Ihop for breakfast. Just great spending time with family!

My favorite family moments were our few weekend getaways to the beach just for the day and building sand “castles” (we tried lol)
Our favorite memories are all kept in journals we did all summer! We have illustrations and a few words of what we did! It is so neat to look back over it all (zoo, park, moving to a new state, vacation, etc) It made it so easy to bring all those fun summer memories back!

We went on a trip to New YOrk city and that was fantastic. While there we went and had breakfast at a little dinner close to the hotel and were served the biggest stuffed french toast I had ever seen. It was delish

Our entire family got together at my brother’s house for a cookout/game night. We had a blast laughing and talking. Money was tight this year for all of us and nobody took a vacation but it was much more fun to just enjoy each other’s company. I laughed so much that night my face hurt from smiling.
