Our family is big on cereal. But what is our favorite cereal?
I can’t answer that. Well, I can’t come up with just ONE cereal!
As different as our fingerprints, so are our tastes — and as seasons change, so do our preferences. With a family of 5, it would be challenging if there few cereal choices for my family.
Despite our diverese preferences, there are certain cereals that seem to rise to the top. The ones I try to keep in the pantry. Such as:
- We love our Frosted Mini Wheats. It is probably one of my favorites because it travels well… a great option for those “got-up-too-late” mornings.
- On a particularly happy and silly morning, we may dive into the Rice Krispies for the snap, crackle and pop!
- Of course there is the Special K Red Berries… I just have to keep the littlest from stealing all the berries!
- And a recent new-found love in our home is the timeless Frosted Flakes.
With the exception of the Special K Red Berries, all of these cereals were ones I shared with my family when I was a kid. I remember giggling with my sister over the *snap, crackle and pop* sounds of my Rice Krispies… I remember the excitement when I’d see Tony the Tiger in our cabinet… and the memory of soaking the frosted side of my mini wheats to *just right* before I’d take a bite

I would eat Frosted Mini Wheats growing up and still do! Now I eat Special K with strawberries and Special K with chocolate when I’m feeling like living on the wild side

I loved Sugar Smacks as a kid but I’m a mean ole mom now and I try not to buy the ultra sugary ones so they won’t crash at school (except for sometimes in the summertime). My favorite now that my kids like too are Corn Flakes with fresh strawberries pr bananas cut up in them!

Love Special K berries!! And honey smacks (sugar smacks!) were my favorite as a kid.
The only two cereals I can remember having in our house were Kellogg’s Corn Flakes and Raisin Bran. Still love those corn flakes and like to make muffins with the raisin bran.
