What is the breakfast routine in the Ingram home?
The best way for the kids to get breakfast is for them to get it themselves!
I’m kidding.
A little *wink*.
My kids are 11, 8 and 5.
We are finally in a season of life where *cue victory music here* the kids usually get their own breakfast. Hitherhencetofore… Cereal, yo. They like the independence, I dig their growing independence… They know what their breakfast choices are, and I make sure they have a couple choices in the pantry.
Let me defend myself, I am not MIA during breakfast, but if I am… it’s all good! The older two are happy (no, really) to pour milk over the cereal for the youngest… add a banana or a nectarine to the mix and voila! A simple breakfast that makes getting out the door on time easier. With this little “arrangement”, Mom can be switching out laundry, making lunches for school, showering (WOO-HOO!!!) or maybe even sleeping “just two more minutes”. The kids know what to do and where to go.
I am LOVING this stage of motherhood…

I am obsessed with chocolate cheerios! I due sprinkle some flax meal on top to ease the guilt. I have two daughters, my 10 year old has eaten chicken nuggets for breakfast every single morning for the past 5 years, and my 13 year old loves instant oatmeal.
I admit, I’m bad. I’m not much of a breakfast eater. But when I do eat breakfast, I usually have toast or cereal.
Thanks for the great giveaway!
We usually have bananas and peanut butter or hard-boiled eggs. Sometimes it’s Cheerios in a baggie for an on-the-go breakfast.
We have bran cereal, a banana, juice and coffee for breakfast
we are big into waffles with bananas over here for the morning. we sit and watch daddy get ready for work while we eat. totally unfair!

We usually have cold cereal or scrambled eggs with cheese. The kids love to help make eggs.
I blogged http://simplydab.blogspot.com/2010/08/check-out-moms-breakfast-club.html
My son’s typical breatfast is yogurt, fruit and a poptart, or McDonald’s. My morning breakast is 2 sausage and egg burritos from McDonald’s every morning, and about 4-5 cups of coffee
On the weekends, if he’s home I may make breakfast (pancakes or omlettes) or we’ll go out for brunch @ Cracker Barrel
Our typical morning routine is that I wake up first with the baby and make her and me oatmeal. THen our two older daughters wake up and make themselves Eggos and later my son and husband wake up last and have bowls of cereal. We never eat breakfast together but we always eat dinner as a family.
There is no routine to our morning routine. One boy doesn’t eat breakfast and the other prefers cereal or toaster tarts! For me it;s my coffee and then several hours later I get a bite to eat.

My 2-year-old could eat her weight in yogurt if I let her. Shortly after she’s out of her crib, she’s at the door of the fridge, chanting, “Yogurt! YOGURT! *YOOOOOGGGGUUUURT!”

I like breakfast – cereal, fruit, yogurt and eggs!
We grab cereal and milk and a banana
Up, shower, get kids up and feed all – cereal, frozen pancakes (homemade), waffles, scones and I usually try to get some fruit in my kids although I’m not always successful! Coffee for me! Take care of pets, dress and off to school.

You know how they say children see, Children do. Well my daughter like to have a her cup of “coffee” (Its really just milk) and a banana fist thing in the am. Buys me time to cook a healthy breakfast for her, and make my “real” coffee.

My kids like to make things on their own (most Mornings) I try to keep easy things like cereal, poptarts and toast. Some weekend mornings my daughter likes eggs, bacon and biscuits for breakfast.
I like 1/2 a piece of toast and a small bowl of cereal w/o milk.

no real breakfast routine here. We’ll either eat dry cereal, or grab a granola bar on the way out of the house!
Thanks for the giveaway!

like cereal as a fast and nutritious breakfast
Cereal w/ blueberries and milk. Everyday. It’s fast and easy.
Weekdays, everybody grabs what they can for breakfast. Weekends, it’s pancakes or waffles.
Everyone is up and about at different times so we all have our own routines. Mine involves feeding all the animals as I’m first up and then relaxing with coffee. I don’t eat until I get to work and usually then have a bagel with cream cheese. No milk available at the office cafeteria so no cereal.
I love having cereal in the morning but usually wait until I get to work. My boys eat at school/daycare except on the weekends. None of us eat as soon as we wake up.
Weekday breakfast is usually cold cereal and orange juice. Saturdays I’ll make pancakes, french toast, or eggs. Sundays I like to make cinnamon rolls out of tube biscuits.
I wake up, take the dogs out and then eat a bowl of cereal

I normally have the same thing each work day, a banana and some instant oatmeal. On the weekends I have whatever is around that seems good at the time.
My oldest almost always wants oatmeal and the littlest grazes on cereal for quite a while in the mornings until he fully wakes up! I am really looking forward to when they are old enough to get breakfast by themselves, but we’re working on it a little at a time.

If I’m in the mood for cereal then its definitely Special K Red Berries. I also really like oatmeal with fruit.
