Do you see this ring? Have you ever seen A RING LIKE THIS?
Would you like to win one?
*Update! We have our winner – lucky commneter #29! Congratulations Jennielynn! You are one lucky laday!!!
Read on…
Father’s Day is fast approaching. I have to ask, what could possibly say “I LOVE YOU” more than a ring MADE OF GEARS for Father’s Day?! Of course, it’s not a ring JUST for men… gals too! You can get the Gear Ring ranging from sizes 5 to 14! But since Father’s Day is coming up… *ahem*…*nudge nudge*
GEARS. Pure genius. So genius, in fact, the ring is protected by numerous patents pending. Fa’ real. This is not just any ring!
But, let’s focus on the felllas – since Father’s Day is upon us. What man doesn’t love GEARS? Mix these gears with the highest quality stainless steel for jewelry… and you have a Father’s Day gift made in MAN HEAVEN.
I received my own Kinekt Gear Ring, so I could get my review on. I should probably let you know that the ring did come with a warning:
The spinning of this ring may inadvertently cause a lack of productivity and work-related progress. Please enjoy responsibly.
Smart folks, those Kinekt Design people. It’s true. You can’t stop spinning the gears! Can. Not. It is so smooth! It makes the stinkin’ coolest and softest whirrly/spinny sound! In fact, I almost couldn’t get this review written!
SRSLY.
I thought I had it bad… but then I *gave* it to my husband. After-all, the ring IS for him. Maybe. Girls can totally wear this ring too. Thing is, before I got to touch it, I promised him he could be the owner. Lucky man. When I handed it to him it was almost like handing him a 2,000 square foot man-shop filled with new tools. Except, all packed into the size of a ring. He was all, “Dude. This is AWESOME.” *insert Beavis & Butthead style-laughter here*
You gotta watch this video. I could describe this ring to death… Instead, I think you just need to see it in action. Yes – not only a GEAR ring, but an ACTION ring:
Like buttah.
Kinekt Design just launched 3 months ago, and may be the only company making jewelry with moving gears. They have numerous patents on their utility and design. It took over a year to design, on account of the fact — it is a RING MADE OF MOVING GEARS. *waves hands wildly* If you visit the Kinekt official website you can learn much more about the history behind this gear ring, and it’s unique features.
If you want one in time for Father’s Day, order soon! Kineket Design is fast, but even with their jewelry-making magic, they are not shipping magicians… Father’s Day is June 20… mark your calendars. OR you could always enter here to win one:
The folks at Kinekt Design are offering one Gear Ring for one lucky reader here! You heard me! This ring (including shipping) is valued at $165! That’s a nice gift! Or keep it for yourself

One ring to rule them all… my precious!
OMG…love it. I’m a big ring fiend…it may end up with me instead of my husband!
Love it and want it!!! Really, I do!
Now this is a great ring! My husband would love it oh so much (although hopefully not as much as he loves me~hmmm) Only one way to find out! Send it over here!
Now, if it does laundry, I’d have to keep it for myself:)
If Paul were to “lose” his ring…………could I have it???
I want it!
My teenage daughter would love one. I hope I win it!
[...] for 3 other chances! And while at my review site, check out the newest review and giveaway – a ring made of moving gears! You know you wanna [...]
I could not bring myself to watch the video because I knew I would order one tonight no matter the pri$e!
I wanna ring.
http://wikimancer.blogspot.com/2010/05/kinekt-gear-ring.html <– Yet a third entry! w00t!
I do love my mechanical accessories….
http://twitter.com/Wikimancer/status/14878293138 <– super additional entry no jutsu! For reals!
I want this ring for my youngest brother. He’s always been fascinated by watches, clocks, anything with gears – he’d LOVE this ring! But then again, maybe I’d keep it for myself…
Well, my husband needs a new ring — he took off the old one with pliers when it was time for an MRI, and thinks he dropped it at the hospital, or no… he was very careful to put it in his pocket, and then was so tired later that he set it somewhere so that he wouldn’t lose it… and it is lost!
The Kinekt Gear ring would be the perfect replacement. Love the movement and when he should be sitting still and relaxing, it would give him something to do that doesn’t involve lifting heavy objects or climbing ladders. Also he probably wouldn’t need pliers to get it off his finger as the additional wall height of the gears would help the ring keep it’s shape.
Ok…so, we know that everyone else wants this ring. But my daughters would LOVE to give this ring to their bicycle-riding-most-awesome-ever dad who is currently working his ever-lovin buns off to put them both thru college. I promise not to take any credit, as is natural on Daddy’s Day. But, I do reserve the right to buy a matching one for myself since he and I have recently become a bicycle riding duo (at some point in a 20 yr marriage, you gotta TRY some of his interests, right?). Oh, did I mention…..PRETTY PLEASE

That is the most awesomest thing I’ve seen all day!
Very neat. It’s true – I want one.
My husband would absolutely, hands-down, no-question-about-it LOVE this ring!!
I am not going to try to convince you of anything given it’s a random drawing! But how COOL is that? If I won I’d give it to my son who loves cool unique pieces of art and lives to be in the shop working with tools!
MADE.OF.AWESOME. Dude. So, incredibly cool, I think I have to buy one. Scratch that. I have to buy two. One for me and one for Art. Would it be tacky to use them as wedding rings?
I tweeted about the ring http://twitter.com/LadyLamb_
Uuuuu I definitely want one!!! For my husband of course… or not. Well I may let him wear it on weekends.
Wow! What a fantastic ring! I’d love to win one for my gear-loving man!
Twittered out loud as well!!!

Me! Me! Me! I love it. No one else would get a look in – they would have to get one themselves!
My stepdad deserves this ring soo much! he’s been an awesome dad, and now an even awesomer grandpa to my daughter. He’s been forced into retirement from construction due to a genetic back disease. This would be great! Thanks for the chance to win!
I think I deserve the cause it’s my precious, *Smeigle Voice*. Plus I ark welded my original wedding ring to a pair of pliers while working on a car and the replacement was deformed on my finger in my car crash. That’s why also cause I am Jo and I am precious
I would love to win this for my husband. In the true sense of holding the cogs of our family together. Even if the gears are full of dirt, grim, missing a cog or oiled well. We can’t pick how they run but we can choose to keep going. Clean out the dirt, grim, gum etc.. and get the gears going again. What an awesome concept to give as a fathers day present. Awesome design.
Twitter task is complete!

I think I would look real good in one of these… my vanity knows no bounds!
Blog post is done.

This would make a wonderful gift for my son, if it ever makes it past me. Mwahahaha
I want.
I would give it to my husband. Although I’m quite sure it would reduce his productivity by a lot.
I also Tweeted about the Ring…. see… http://twitter.com/DaveTheAlbino/status/14842898964
DUDE! I totally want that ring! It’s cooler than cool – IT’S ICE COLD! (Yes, I realize that I sound dumb)
As a mechanical engineer and known “gear head” I must say this ring looks awesome. I will pass this blog on to my Twitter followers. Thanks for sharing.
Ok…………. I can’t rarely get my husband to wear his wedding ring! But, something tells me he would wear this “No Problem” Very cool “gigitygaget”…..
It has been tweeted as well!

Wow, that’s the neatest thing I’ve ever seen! For a ring anyways…. And you are right, it’s a great Father’s Day gift. If I win, that’s who I’m giving it to – my husband!
Love so much…if only it was small enough for my itty fingers I would love it for myself. I could live vicariously though my husband having though!
Babe. I want one. One for me, one for my other engineer-y girlfriends, one for my construction hubby, one for my erector-set-loving Daddy…pretty please with sugar on top? Going to order one NOW!
I tweeted this!!

OHMYGOSH I WANT THIS RING FOR MY HUSBAND!! It is the coolest thing ever!!! Pick me pick me!!!
You know I tweeted it, too. It’s linked to this comment.
That’s pretty sweet. Personally I’m a big fan of the bottle opener ring: http://www.amazon.com/Island-Dogs-Bottle-Opener-Ring/dp/B001U2RNXE – works good when I can’t get my sandals off easily: http://goo.gl/kKqp
My husband, the professor of Mechanical Engineering, would love this. His master’s thesis was all about gears. This would make a great anniversary or Father’s Day gift for him. But, it would only make a great gift if I won it because he wouldn’t like it as much if I spent his money to buy it for him.
Ooh~ I love it! We just received our new custom wedding rings and this would be a very nice match for his other hand.
