Let the hydration begin!
Today I drank 56 oz of water… only 8 ounces short of the recommended 64! It is approximately 48 more ounces than I drank yesterday. I added Crystal Light’s Pomegranate Lemonade (Skin Essentials) to my first 16 ounces of the day. I actually added a couple extra ounces of water because I like a lighter flavor and sweetness. My adjustment lent to a delightful drink to sip on as I worked on my to-do list. Later on I made a pitcher of Crystal Light Peach Ice Tea *nomnomnom*, poured 16 ounces in my favorite re-usable water bottle and sipped it to it’s end while running the kids around town.
I expected to be peeing all day. Not so much. I am thinking that over the first half of the day my organs hogged all the fluid. Ya know, got themselves all plumped back up after weeks of neglect.
I’m serious.

Chug! Chug! Chug!
Alas, it would seem my organs have been satiated. Since later this afternoon, much of the fluid has been passed to and through Ms. Bladder. She’s been busy.
It seems drinking plenty of fluids also shaves off the hunger pains. Though it was not hunger that drove me to a bag of chips not too long ago. But let’s just pretend that never happened. Good thing I have this water challenge. Looks like I’ll have lots of help flushing out the extra sodium tomorrow!
